The Opportunity:

As a Childcare Teacher/Assessor - Apprenticeships, you will play a key role in monitoring and evaluating apprentices’ progress to ensure they meet the required standards. You will support apprentices through observation, questioning, and portfolio reviews, while fostering strong relationships with employers and external organisations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess apprentices’ knowledge, skills, and behaviours through observation, questioning, and portfolio reviews.
• Provide constructive feedback and tailored support to drive apprentice success.
• Act as the key liaison between apprentices, employers, and external organisations.
• Ensure compliance with apprenticeship standards and support smooth progression.
• Maintain accurate records and assessments in line with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with teaching teams to enhance the quality of apprenticeship training.
• Support the development of apprentices through continuous professional guidance and mentorship.
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of apprenticeship programmes and delivery methods.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Relevant teaching and/or assessor qualification.
• Proven experience in apprenticeship training and assessment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to observe, assess, and provide constructive feedback.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of apprentices.

Preferred

• Experience in childcare or early years education.
• Familiarity with apprenticeship frameworks and standards.
• Experience with assessment tools and systems.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with employers and external partners.
