The Opportunity:
As a Criminology Lecturer, you will shape the educational experiences of students in Criminology, Psychology, and Public Services. This role is ideal for passionate educators who want to make a real difference in the lives of learners and contribute to a high-achieving institution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and impactful BTEC and WJEC courses in Criminology, Psychology, and Public Services.
- Develop and assess curriculum content to support student learning and progression.
- Provide constructive feedback and one-to-one guidance to help students achieve their full potential.
- Support students through enrichment activities, including Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and overnight residentials.
- Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment that meets the diverse needs of learners.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching practices and student outcomes.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the quality of education and student experience.
- Stay up to date with developments in the field of Criminology and Public Services.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A degree in Law, Criminology, or a related field.
- A recognised teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
- A passion for Criminology and Public Services.
- Commitment to student-centred teaching and inclusive learning.
- Experience in delivering applied general qualifications.
Preferred
- Experience with enrichment activities such as Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
- Experience in supporting students with diverse learning needs.
- Experience in working within a college or further education setting.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary range from £28,424 to £44,457.
