The Opportunity:

As a Criminology Lecturer, you will shape the educational experiences of students in Criminology, Psychology, and Public Services. This role is ideal for passionate educators who want to make a real difference in the lives of learners and contribute to a high-achieving institution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and impactful BTEC and WJEC courses in Criminology, Psychology, and Public Services.
• Develop and assess curriculum content to support student learning and progression.
• Provide constructive feedback and one-to-one guidance to help students achieve their full potential.
• Support students through enrichment activities, including Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and overnight residentials.
• Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment that meets the diverse needs of learners.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching practices and student outcomes.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the quality of education and student experience.
• Stay up to date with developments in the field of Criminology and Public Services.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• A degree in Law, Criminology, or a related field.
• A recognised teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
• A passion for Criminology and Public Services.
• Commitment to student-centred teaching and inclusive learning.
• Experience in delivering applied general qualifications.

Preferred

• Experience with enrichment activities such as Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
• Experience in supporting students with diverse learning needs.
• Experience in working within a college or further education setting.
