The Opportunity:
Join a dynamic team of educators as a Maths Lecturer and make a meaningful impact on the lives of 16-19-year-olds and adult learners. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality Maths education across GCSE and A-Level qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Maths to a diverse range of learners, including 16-19-year-olds and adult students.
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons that support student achievement and progression.
- Prepare and assess coursework in line with curriculum standards and qualifications.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of teaching strategies.
- Support learners through individualised guidance and pastoral care.
- Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching practice and subject knowledge.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Stay up to date with developments in the subject and educational best practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant degree in Mathematics or a related field.
- Qualified teacher status or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Maths to a range of learners, including 16-19-year-olds and adults.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
Preferred
- Experience with GCSE and A-Level qualifications.
- Previous experience in Further Education or similar settings.
- Familiarity with industry-standard teaching resources and technologies.
- Ability to contribute to curriculum development and innovation in teaching methods.
