The Opportunity:

As a Pre-K Teacher, you will play a vital role in preparing young children for kindergarten by fostering a nurturing, play-centered learning environment. You will guide students through early literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional development while ensuring a safe and engaging classroom experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create a nurturing, safe, play-centered Early Years environment following developmentally appropriate practices.
  • Plan daily lessons targeting early literacy, phonological awareness, numeracy, and fine motor development.
  • Set up learning centers, sensory activities, and outdoor exploration aligned with developmental goals.
  • Conduct ongoing observations to track progress in cognitive, social-emotional, and language domains.
  • Differentiate activities for learners with varied developmental stages and language backgrounds.
  • Foster social-emotional development through conflict resolution and cooperative play.
  • Communicate with parents regularly, providing updates and transition support.
  • Collaborate with specialists such as SENCO, OTs, and counselors.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a relevant subject area.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Early Years education.
  • Strong understanding of early literacy development and play-based learning.
  • Excellent communication and empathy with young children.
  • Strong safeguarding awareness and patience.

Preferred

  • Valid teaching certification.
  • International school experience.
  • Experience with EAL support and language acquisition processes.
  • Creative mindset and ability to plan innovative lessons.
  • Mediation skills for resolving conflicts between children.
