The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and experienced Performing Arts Teacher to join its High/Secondary School department. This role offers the opportunity to inspire and guide students in developing their talents in Music and Drama within a dynamic, internationally recognized curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Music and Drama lessons that support creativity, performance skills, and academic progress.
  • Set purposeful learning tasks and provide clear, constructive feedback to help students improve technique and confidence.
  • Assess student learning using formative and summative approaches, adapting teaching to meet diverse needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and parents/guardians to support student learning and wellbeing.
  • Lead an engaging after-school drama or music club, broadening participation and performance opportunities.
  • Support school priorities through additional duties, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach.
  • Prepare students for performances, showcases, and events, including rehearsals and production planning.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and resource planning within the Performing Arts department.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A university degree in Drama, Education, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience teaching in an international school program.
  • Expertise in international curricula, particularly American (AP) and British (IGCSE/A-Level) systems.
  • Demonstrable success in Performing Arts at school, regional, or international levels.
  • Proven record of involvement in performances, showcases, and events.

  • Experience with EAL/SEND students and inclusive teaching practices.
