The Opportunity:
As a Pre-Primary Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping young minds through creative and engaging early learning experiences. You will be responsible for fostering a warm, inclusive classroom environment that supports children’s holistic development and academic growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons aligned with the EYFS curriculum.
- Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment that promotes respect, curiosity, and kindness.
- Work closely with the Head of Pre-Prep and colleagues to support children’s social, emotional, and academic development.
- Use high-quality assessment to track progress and inform teaching strategies.
- Communicate effectively with parents and contribute to the wider school community.
- Collaborate with a Learning Assistant to support individual and group learning needs.
- Promote a culture of curiosity, courage, and kindness in everyday interactions.
- Ensure the wellbeing and safety of all children in the classroom.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a PGCE and QTS specialising in EYFS.
- Strong understanding of child development and early learning.
- Commitment to pastoral care and safeguarding.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents.
Preferred
- Paediatric first-aid qualification.
- Experience in Forest School or additional EYFS training.
- Background in inclusive education and creative teaching methods.
