The Opportunity:

As a Pre-Primary Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping young minds through creative and engaging early learning experiences. You will be responsible for fostering a warm, inclusive classroom environment that supports children’s holistic development and academic growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons aligned with the EYFS curriculum.
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment that promotes respect, curiosity, and kindness.
  • Work closely with the Head of Pre-Prep and colleagues to support children’s social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Use high-quality assessment to track progress and inform teaching strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and contribute to the wider school community.
  • Collaborate with a Learning Assistant to support individual and group learning needs.
  • Promote a culture of curiosity, courage, and kindness in everyday interactions.
  • Ensure the wellbeing and safety of all children in the classroom.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a PGCE and QTS specialising in EYFS.
  • Strong understanding of child development and early learning.
  • Commitment to pastoral care and safeguarding.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents.

Preferred

  • Paediatric first-aid qualification.
  • Experience in Forest School or additional EYFS training.
  • Background in inclusive education and creative teaching methods.
