Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that inspire curiosity and a love of learning.
  • Support the development of a forward-thinking curriculum aligned with the school’s academic and values-driven mission.
  • Work closely with the Head of Department and Head of Year to ensure consistent teaching standards and pupil progress.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that meets the needs of all pupils.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through co-curricular activities and community engagement.
  • Promote the ROCCK values of Respect, Opportunity, Curiosity, Courage, and Kindness in all aspects of teaching and learning.
  • Provide regular feedback and assessment to support student growth and achievement.
  • Stay informed about current educational research and best practices to enhance teaching methods.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a good degree (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in Key Stage 2 teaching with a strong understanding of effective pedagogy.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to create a positive and purposeful learning environment for diverse learners.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.

Preferred

  • A master’s degree or further professional qualification.
  • Experience with curriculum development or leadership within a school setting.
  • Familiarity with the ROCCK values and a passion for inclusive education.
  • Strong engagement with co-curricular activities and school life.
