Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that inspire curiosity and a love of learning.
- Support the development of a forward-thinking curriculum aligned with the school’s academic and values-driven mission.
- Work closely with the Head of Department and Head of Year to ensure consistent teaching standards and pupil progress.
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that meets the needs of all pupils.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through co-curricular activities and community engagement.
- Promote the ROCCK values of Respect, Opportunity, Curiosity, Courage, and Kindness in all aspects of teaching and learning.
- Provide regular feedback and assessment to support student growth and achievement.
- Stay informed about current educational research and best practices to enhance teaching methods.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a good degree (or equivalent).
- Proven experience in Key Stage 2 teaching with a strong understanding of effective pedagogy.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to create a positive and purposeful learning environment for diverse learners.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
Preferred
- A master’s degree or further professional qualification.
- Experience with curriculum development or leadership within a school setting.
- Familiarity with the ROCCK values and a passion for inclusive education.
- Strong engagement with co-curricular activities and school life.
