Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop the Primary Maths Curriculum to ensure high standards and consistent progress across all year groups.
• Model excellence in teaching and support colleagues through coaching and professional development.
• Collaborate with class teachers, phase leaders, and senior leadership to drive continuous improvement in maths education.
• Ensure the curriculum fosters secure fluency, reasoning, and problem-solving skills in students.
• Promote a culture of high expectations, inclusivity, and innovation in maths teaching.
• Work closely with parents and stakeholders to support student learning and achievement.
• Encourage and support staff in developing their mathematical knowledge and pedagogical skills.
• Implement effective teaching methodologies that align with the school’s mission and values.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Minimum of 3 years teaching experience in a British Curriculum School.
• Current experience in middle leadership or readiness to take on a leadership role.
• Appropriate teaching degree and Qualified Teacher Status.
• Strong subject knowledge in mathematics across all primary phases.
• Confidence in mathematical progression and pedagogy.

Preferred

• Experience in curriculum design and leadership.
• Proven ability to inspire and motivate colleagues and students.
• Experience in developing and sharing expertise in maths across teaching teams.
• Commitment to extracurricular activities and student development.
• Familiarity with the High-Performance Learning (HPL) framework.
