The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a Secondary Mathematics Teacher for a short-term maternity cover contract from May to June 2026. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a high-achieving academic environment while supporting students across the High School Diploma and IB Diploma Programme.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Secondary Mathematics across Grades 6 to 12 within the High School Diploma and IB Diploma Programme.
• Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that motivate and challenge students of all abilities.
• Plan and assess effectively, using data to monitor progress and inform instruction.
• Maintain high expectations for student behavior, engagement, and achievement.
• Adapt teaching strategies to support diverse learners, including EAL and SEN students.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with students, colleagues, and parents.
• Contribute positively to the school’s ethos and community during the cover period.
• Uphold safeguarding, health and safety, and professional conduct standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in education or a relevant Mathematics discipline.
• Minimum 3 years’ relevant teaching experience.
• Experience teaching Mathematics at High School Diploma, IB Diploma, and/or A Level.
• Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).

Preferred

• Experience teaching IB DP Mathematics.
• Familiarity with the American Common Core Standards and International Baccalaureate Programme.
