The Opportunity:

We are seeking an Inclusion Teaching Assistant to support the delivery of an inclusive learning environment across all years. This role is vital in ensuring students with additional learning needs, behavioural needs, and developmental differences receive the support they need to thrive academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Inclusion Teachers in providing targeted in-class and small group support to students with learning, behavioural, social, or emotional needs.
  • Implement intervention strategies based on Learning Support Plans and Behaviour Support Plans.
  • Support students in developing academic skills such as literacy, numeracy, and executive functioning.
  • Monitor and report student progress and engagement during interventions, providing timely feedback to teachers and the Inclusion team.
  • Assist in the early identification of learning or developmental concerns through observation and engagement.
  • Support students' social, emotional, and self-regulation needs by promoting positive behaviour strategies.
  • Facilitate smooth transitions for students requiring additional support across the school.
  • Contribute to a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment that values individual differences.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in an inclusion or SEN role.
  • Experience working with Inclusion policies and KHDA guidelines.
  • Strong grasp of inclusive teaching strategies and commitment to safeguarding and child protection.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Experience in a Cambridge curriculum or international school setting.
