The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and qualified Primary Islamic Studies Teacher to join its dedicated team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Islamic Studies lessons that inspire and engage students of all abilities.
  • Plan and implement lessons that incorporate UAE heritage and culture into the curriculum.
  • Assess and report on student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop teaching materials and improve the curriculum.
  • Maintain strong communication with parents and students to support learning and wellbeing.
  • Support safeguarding and child protection policies to ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice.
  • Contribute to school events and community activities that align with the school’s values.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant degree in Islamic Studies with a teaching qualification.
  • Minimum of 2 years recent teaching experience in UAE for Islamic Studies in Early Years or Primary department.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK Curriculum and current teaching practices.
  • Excellent communication and IT skills with a high level of English proficiency.
  • Experience working with EAL, ELL, and SEND students.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in online and classroom teaching environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Strong interpersonal and emotional intelligence skills.
