The Opportunity:
As a Primary School Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of young learners in a dynamic and inclusive educational setting. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and innovative lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students, while promoting a culture of inquiry, creativity, and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver creative, engaging, and inclusive learning experiences tailored to the needs of each child.
- Use formative assessment to inform teaching and personalise the curriculum for every student.
- Foster a nurturing and safe environment where students can thrive academically and socially.
- Encourage student-led inquiry and value their questions as a key part of the learning journey.
- Build strong relationships with parents and the wider community through regular and effective communication.
- Develop and implement strategies to support English Language Learners and ensure inclusivity.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them reach their full potential.
- Support students in their personal, social, and emotional development.
- Act as a Personal Tutor to a group of students, guiding their academic and personal growth.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Native English speaker.
- Bachelor’s degree in primary education or a relevant subject with an additional teaching qualification.
- Relevant education certifications such as PGCE or QTS.
- Minimum 3 years of full-time teaching experience in a school setting, preferably with experience in the IB framework.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
- Ability to manage student behaviour positively and create a respectful learning environment.
Preferred
- Experience in subject leadership.
- Cross-cultural teaching experience and adaptability in working with diverse student and parent communities.
- Previous involvement in co-curricular activities such as enrichment, guided reading, and boarding house life.
