The Opportunity:
As a Primary Teacher and Key Stage Head, you will play a vital role in shaping the academic and personal development of students. This role combines teaching responsibilities with leadership, offering the chance to make a lasting impact on a school community committed to excellence and student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality teaching and learning in line with the school's policy and the English National Curriculum.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports all students, including those with special educational needs, EAL, and gifted and talented students.
- Set clear learning objectives and targets, using data to inform planning and ensure progress for all students.
- Implement effective assessment strategies and use performance data to monitor and improve teaching and learning outcomes.
- Maintain discipline and promote good behavior, punctuality, and standards of work in accordance with the school's policies.
- Prepare and present reports to parents, and attend events to support student engagement and communication with families.
- Contribute to the development of the curriculum and collaborate with other professionals, including therapists and psychologists.
- Support the school's vision and values, and take on additional responsibilities as assigned by senior leadership.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor's degree in a related subject with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years' experience as a Classroom Teacher in the English Curriculum.
- Strong commitment to the school's vision, values, and ethos.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with strong organizational abilities.
- Knowledge of child protection, safeguarding, and current developments in education.
Preferred
- Experience of teaching across a range of abilities with proven success.
- Experience working in more than one international school.
- Ability to work under pressure, solve problems, and remain resilient in challenging situations.
