The Opportunity:

As an Exam Invigilator, you will play a key role in ensuring students can perform to the best of their ability in a fair and focused environment. Your attention to detail and commitment to maintaining exam integrity will directly impact student success and the school's academic reputation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a calm, secure, and distraction-free environment in exam rooms.
  • Arrange and manage the layout of examination rooms and issue desk cards.
  • Prevent unauthorized items from entering the exam room and monitor student behavior.
  • Direct students to their assigned seats according to the seating plan.
  • Ensure the correct exam papers are issued to each candidate.
  • Record and report any absences to the Examinations Office.
  • Monitor exams in accordance with Awarding Body instructions.
  • Prevent the use of mobile phones or other communication devices during exams.
  • Escort students from the exam room when necessary and manage any disruptions.
  • Issue additional stationery as required and collect completed exams promptly.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with children or students.
  • Strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
  • Commitment to upholding academic integrity and exam rules.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in an educational or exam setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work during exam periods and occasional evenings or weekends.
