The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Chemistry lessons that engage and challenge students.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that support student progress and achievement.
  • Monitor and assess student performance regularly, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the Science Department to enhance curriculum delivery and student outcomes.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities, including science clubs and educational visits.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and learning.
  • Support the school’s commitment to student behaviour and uniform standards.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of cross-curricular initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant Chemistry experience.
  • Commitment to student welfare and a positive, professional attitude.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
  • Experience in delivering lessons to a range of abilities.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Knowledge of current educational trends and technologies.
  • Experience with the ECT programme or similar teacher training initiatives.
  • Involvement in extracurricular science activities or clubs.
