The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Chemistry lessons that engage and challenge students.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that support student progress and achievement.
- Monitor and assess student performance regularly, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the Science Department to enhance curriculum delivery and student outcomes.
- Participate in extracurricular activities, including science clubs and educational visits.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and learning.
- Support the school’s commitment to student behaviour and uniform standards.
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of cross-curricular initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant Chemistry experience.
- Commitment to student welfare and a positive, professional attitude.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
- Experience in delivering lessons to a range of abilities.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching at Key Stage 3 and 4.
- Knowledge of current educational trends and technologies.
- Experience with the ECT programme or similar teacher training initiatives.
- Involvement in extracurricular science activities or clubs.
