Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Physical Education lessons that engage and challenge students across all Key Stages.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, staff, and families to support student achievement and well-being.
  • Promote a culture of high expectations and no excuses, ensuring all students can succeed regardless of their starting point.
  • Support the school’s commitment to extra-curricular activities and trips, enhancing student experiences beyond the classroom.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain and improve the school’s strong academic and pastoral standards.
  • Contribute to the development of the PE curriculum and ensure it aligns with the school’s vision and values.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and leadership skills.
  • Encourage and support student participation in sports and physical activities, both within and outside the school.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge and experience.
  • Ability to deliver engaging and effective Physical Education lessons.
  • Commitment to the school’s values and ethos of high expectations and inclusivity.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in working with students of all abilities and backgrounds.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or contributing to extra-curricular sports activities.
  • Experience with pastoral care and student support.
  • Familiarity with the school’s curriculum and vision.
  • Leadership experience or willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
