The Opportunity:

As a Psychology Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and impactful Key Stage 5 Psychology lessons. The role also offers the chance to contribute to Key Stage 4 Health and Social Care teaching.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Key Stage 5 Psychology to a high standard, ensuring student engagement and achievement.
  • Deliver Key Stage 4 Health and Social Care lessons where appropriate.
  • Support students through pastoral care and individualized learning.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and staff training.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and student outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records and assessments of student progress.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extra-curricular and pastoral activities.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the subject and education sector.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Psychology at Key Stage 5.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Psychology and related areas.
  • Commitment to student welfare and inclusive education.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching Health and Social Care at Key Stage 4.
  • Experience with CPD and staff development initiatives.
  • Familiarity with the Stowe Valley Multi Academy Trust and its values.
  • Experience in a high-performing, academy-based school environment.
