Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative English lessons to students across key stages.
  • Support students in achieving outstanding GCSE and A-level results.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the school’s enrichment programme.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning practices.
  • Participate in the school’s ongoing professional development and research-based training initiatives.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student well-being.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly to ensure academic success.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in teaching English at both GCSE and A-level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English literature and language.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to student success and a belief in the potential of every child.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or mentoring other teachers.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technology in the classroom.
  • Experience in pastoral care or student support.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
