The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Religious Education Teacher to join our inspiring team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering an engaging and innovative RE curriculum that supports student development and achievement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that inspire students and promote a deep understanding of religious education.
- Ensure that all students make outstanding progress and achieve strong results in RE.
- Keep up to date with curricular developments and maintain a popular and successful RE department.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the school to support student learning and well-being.
- Contribute to the development of the school’s pastoral and academic systems.
- Support students as individuals, with a strong focus on personal development and inclusion.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and continue to grow as an educator.
- Engage in whole-school initiatives and contribute to the school’s vision and values.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a strong subject knowledge in Religious Education.
- Experience in teaching RE at secondary level.
- Commitment to student achievement and personal development.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching a second subject.
- Experience with professional development programs such as PTI or National College.
- Familiarity with Leading Edge School initiatives and SSAT resources.
- Experience in pastoral care and student support.
