The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Religious Education Teacher to join our inspiring team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that inspire students and promote a deep understanding of religious education.
  • Ensure that all students make outstanding progress and achieve strong results in RE.
  • Keep up to date with curricular developments and maintain a popular and successful RE department.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the school to support student learning and well-being.
  • Contribute to the development of the school’s pastoral and academic systems.
  • Support students as individuals, with a strong focus on personal development and inclusion.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and continue to grow as an educator.
  • Engage in whole-school initiatives and contribute to the school’s vision and values.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a strong subject knowledge in Religious Education.
  • Experience in teaching RE at secondary level.
  • Commitment to student achievement and personal development.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching a second subject.
  • Experience with professional development programs such as PTI or National College.
  • Familiarity with Leading Edge School initiatives and SSAT resources.
  • Experience in pastoral care and student support.
