The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated History or Politics Teacher to join a thriving Humanities department and contribute to the academic success of students at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. This is an exciting opportunity for an ECT or experienced teacher to make a real difference in a high-expectations environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach History or Politics at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, including AQA GCSE History and OCR and Edexcel A Level courses.
- Deliver high-quality lessons that inspire and challenge students to achieve their full potential.
- Support students in developing critical thinking, analytical, and research skills.
- Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum development, and staff collaboration.
- Participate in marking, assessment, and reporting to ensure consistent and high standards of student achievement.
- Engage students in enrichment activities and academic societies.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in History or Politics.
- Experience teaching at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Strong commitment to student achievement and academic excellence.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching A Level History or Politics.
- Background in delivering high-achieving outcomes and preparing students for top universities.
- Experience with enrichment programs or co-curricular activities.
- Experience in a high-performing school environment.
