The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Religious Studies Teacher to join a dynamic and innovative department. This role involves teaching across KS3 and KS4, supporting the launch of Religious Studies as a compulsory GCSE subject, and delivering outstanding outcomes for students. The successful candidate will be a passionate and committed educator, ready to make a real impact in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Religious Studies across Key Stages 3 and 4 to students of all abilities.
- Deliver high-quality lessons that engage and inspire students.
- Support the successful implementation of Religious Studies as a full-cohort GCSE subject.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and deliver a strong curriculum.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school and participate in extracurricular activities.
- Engage in continuous professional development and support the growth of the department.
- Foster positive relationships with students, colleagues, and the wider school community.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant experience of teaching Religious Studies in a secondary school.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire young people.
- Commitment to personal and professional development.
- Ability to deliver effective and engaging lessons across a range of abilities.
Preferred
- Experience with GCSE-level Religious Studies curriculum.
- Experience in developing and leading curriculum initiatives.
- Experience with online learning platforms and digital teaching tools.
- Experience in a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
