Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality Religious Studies lessons to students aged 11 to 18.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that promotes critical thinking and understanding of religious beliefs and practices.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and respect.
  • Support students in achieving outstanding academic results and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the school.

  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Experience of teaching Religious Studies to GCSE standard.
  • Proven ability to deliver quality teaching that drives achievement and student engagement.
  • Experience of achieving positive outcomes for pupils and demonstrating a passion for education.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Commitment to working as a team player and supporting the school’s leadership ethos.

Preferred

  • Experience of innovation and creativity in teaching Religious Studies.
  • Experience working in a faith-based or multi-faith educational setting.
  • Experience with pastoral care and supporting student well-being.
  • Experience with leadership development or extracurricular programme delivery.
