Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and high-quality Religious Studies lessons to students aged 11 to 18.
- Develop and implement a curriculum that promotes critical thinking and understanding of religious beliefs and practices.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and respect.
- Support students in achieving outstanding academic results and personal growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the school.
- Participate in professional development and training opportunities.
- Contribute to the school’s leadership programme and extracurricular activities.
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status.
- Experience of teaching Religious Studies to GCSE standard.
- Proven ability to deliver quality teaching that drives achievement and student engagement.
- Experience of achieving positive outcomes for pupils and demonstrating a passion for education.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Commitment to working as a team player and supporting the school’s leadership ethos.
Preferred
- Experience of innovation and creativity in teaching Religious Studies.
- Experience working in a faith-based or multi-faith educational setting.
- Experience with pastoral care and supporting student well-being.
- Experience with leadership development or extracurricular programme delivery.
