The Opportunity:

As a Maths Teacher – KS3 Curriculum Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the curriculum and enhancing student achievement in mathematics. This is a key leadership position within the Maths Faculty, offering the opportunity to influence teaching and learning across the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a high-quality KS3 maths curriculum aligned with internal and external standards.
  • Lead and support the Maths Faculty in raising student achievement and attainment.
  • Deliver outstanding maths lessons that engage and inspire students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve teaching methods.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Mentor and support other teachers within the faculty.
  • Contribute to the development of school-wide policies and initiatives.
  • Stay up to date with current educational research and maths pedagogy.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant maths experience.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a curriculum area.
  • Strong track record in improving student achievement in maths.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum design and leadership.
  • Familiarity with KS3 maths teaching and learning strategies.
  • Experience in a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
