The Opportunity:
As a Maths Teacher – KS3 Curriculum Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the curriculum and enhancing student achievement in mathematics. This is a key leadership position within the Maths Faculty, offering the opportunity to influence teaching and learning across the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a high-quality KS3 maths curriculum aligned with internal and external standards.
- Lead and support the Maths Faculty in raising student achievement and attainment.
- Deliver outstanding maths lessons that engage and inspire students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve teaching methods.
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement.
- Mentor and support other teachers within the faculty.
- Contribute to the development of school-wide policies and initiatives.
- Stay up to date with current educational research and maths pedagogy.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant maths experience.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a curriculum area.
- Strong track record in improving student achievement in maths.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
Preferred
- Experience in curriculum design and leadership.
- Familiarity with KS3 maths teaching and learning strategies.
- Experience in a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
- Knowledge of current maths education research and trends.
