The Opportunity:
As a Teacher of Science, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality science education that inspires curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning. You will be part of a dedicated, collaborative team working to develop an ambitious and inclusive science curriculum for students across KS3 and KS4.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and inspiring Science lessons that foster curiosity and a love of learning
- Teach across Key Stages 3 and 4 with a focus on student progress and achievement
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported
- Contribute to the ongoing development of a strong and ambitious Science curriculum
- Work collaboratively within a supportive, forward-thinking Science team
- Promote the school’s values and mission through teaching and wider school life
- Encourage student participation in extra-curricular activities and trips
- Reflect on teaching practice to continuously improve student outcomes
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Science education
- A genuine passion for Science and the ability to inspire and engage students
- Strong classroom management and teaching skills
- Commitment to the school’s values of dignity, excellence, and service
- Experience of teaching Science to students across KS3 and KS4
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
Preferred
- Experience with curriculum development
- Experience of working within a Catholic educational setting
- Experience with extra-curricular activities or school trips
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
- Strong communication and leadership skills
