The Opportunity:

As a Teacher of Science, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality science education that inspires curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning. You will be part of a dedicated, collaborative team working to develop an ambitious and inclusive science curriculum for students across KS3 and KS4.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and inspiring Science lessons that foster curiosity and a love of learning
  • Teach across Key Stages 3 and 4 with a focus on student progress and achievement
  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of a strong and ambitious Science curriculum
  • Work collaboratively within a supportive, forward-thinking Science team
  • Promote the school’s values and mission through teaching and wider school life
  • Encourage student participation in extra-curricular activities and trips
  • Reflect on teaching practice to continuously improve student outcomes

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Science education
  • A genuine passion for Science and the ability to inspire and engage students
  • Strong classroom management and teaching skills
  • Commitment to the school’s values of dignity, excellence, and service
  • Experience of teaching Science to students across KS3 and KS4
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team

Preferred

  • Experience with curriculum development
  • Experience of working within a Catholic educational setting
  • Experience with extra-curricular activities or school trips
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
