Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality A Level Religious Studies to students, ensuring engagement and academic success.
  • Inspire students through innovative teaching methods and a commitment to subject knowledge.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of other subjects, if applicable.
  • Support students through personalized learning, study workshops, and revision programs.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities, including guest speakers, educational visits, and student societies.
  • Collaborate with the Humanities Department to enhance the learning experience and maintain a strong academic culture.
  • Work closely with the pastoral team to support student wellbeing and progress.
  • Maintain strong communication with parents and students through regular updates and involvement in college events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Religious Studies at A Level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching.
  • Experience working in a sixth form college or similar setting.
  • Ability to work flexibly and deliver lessons across 2.5 days per week.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering other subjects, such as Philosophy, Law, or Geography.
  • Involvement in extracurricular activities and student support initiatives.
  • Experience with inclusive teaching and supporting diverse student populations.
  • Familiarity with Ofsted standards and a commitment to continuous professional development.
