The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and inspiring PE Teacher to join our vibrant team and contribute to the delivery of A Level PE and NCFE Sport qualifications. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic department with excellent facilities and a commitment to student success and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality A Level PE and NCFE Sport courses to a range of students.
  • Develop and implement engaging, inclusive, and challenging PE lessons that inspire student achievement.
  • Support the development of competitive sports teams and extracurricular activities, including Girls’ Gym and Boxing.
  • Work collaboratively with the PE and Sport Department to enhance the sporting experience for all students.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to students, including those in elite sports training programmes.
  • Maintain strong links with local sports organizations and higher education institutions.
  • Contribute to the pastoral care and wellbeing of students through tutor group time and the pastoral programme.
  • Support students in work experience, progression to university, apprenticeships, or the workforce.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in delivering A Level PE and NCFE Sport qualifications.
  • Strong knowledge of PE and Sport, with a genuine passion for the subject.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a sixth form college or similar educational setting.
  • Experience with elite sports training or competitive sports teams.
  • Familiarity with AoC Sport and national competition opportunities.
  • Experience in developing and delivering extracurricular sporting activities.
