The Opportunity:
As a Safeguarding Administrator, you will provide essential administrative support to the safeguarding team. This role is vital in ensuring that pupils receive the care and support they need. Your work will directly impact the well-being and safety of students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide confidential administrative support to the safeguarding team
- Prepare documentation and records for safeguarding meetings and referrals
- Liaise professionally with parents, staff, and external agencies
- Maintain accurate manual and electronic records in line with GDPR requirements
- Arrange meetings, take accurate notes, and support follow-up actions
- Support pupil welfare and respond sensitively to safeguarding matters
- Assist the wider administration team as required
- Ensure all safeguarding administration processes are completed effectively and within required timescales
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and email systems
- The ability to work independently and prioritise workloads effectively
- A calm, flexible, and compassionate approach
- A commitment to safeguarding, equality, and supporting young people
Preferred
- Previous experience within a school or safeguarding environment
- Experience with administrative systems and processes
- Knowledge of GDPR and data protection requirements
