The Opportunity:

As Safer Recruitment & Compliance Manager, you will ensure the school operates in full compliance with safeguarding and HR standards. This role is crucial to maintaining a safe, well-managed, and legally compliant educational environment across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of safer recruitment and compliance processes
  • Ensure all HR functions, including onboarding, staff records, and payroll, are carried out in line with safeguarding requirements
  • Maintain the Single Central Register and keep accurate and up-to-date records
  • Collaborate with school leaders, HR teams, and other stakeholders to support continuous improvement
  • Provide proactive and professional HR administration across the employee lifecycle
  • Support the implementation of safeguarding policies and procedures
  • Ensure all documentation and processes meet legal and regulatory standards
  • Assist with background checks and pre-employment vetting

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in HR administration, ideally within an education setting
  • Strong knowledge of safer recruitment, safeguarding, and compliance procedures
  • Ability to manage sensitive data with accuracy, discretion, and confidentiality
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with HR systems and record-keeping

Preferred

  • Experience in managing multi-site HR operations
  • Understanding of education sector regulations and best practices
  • Experience with background checks and vetting processes
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
