The Opportunity:

As a Cover Coordinator and Administrator, you will be instrumental in ensuring seamless staff cover and providing essential administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team. This role is vital to the smooth daily operations of a school that prioritizes student well-being and educational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and allocate staff cover for absences, training, and visits, liaising with supply agencies as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of staff absence and support return-to-work procedures.
  • Support the management of the school’s weekly calendar and ensure clear communication of staff deployment and key events.
  • Manage safeguarding administration and ensure records are maintained in accordance with GDPR requirements.
  • Support the management of student medication systems and medical records, ensuring compliance with procedures.
  • Liaise with parents, external agencies, and visitors, including supporting school tours and events.
  • Provide administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team across all school sites.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Experience in administration, ideally within a school setting.
  • Knowledge of school systems, procedures, and staff absence processes.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently using initiative.
  • Strong attention to detail and a student-centred approach.

Preferred

  • Experience with complex timetabling and staff cover coordination.
  • Familiarity with safeguarding and GDPR compliance procedures.
  • Experience working with students with autism or special educational needs.
  • Knowledge of school management systems and software.
