The Opportunity:
As a School Administration Assistant, you will provide essential clerical and administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of school administration and attendance processes. This role is vital in maintaining a well-organised and efficient working environment, and plays a key part in supporting the school’s mission to develop the talents of all students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the administration of school operations, including attendance management and record-keeping
- Provide efficient clerical support to various departments within the school
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions and documentation
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and take initiative in completing tasks independently
- Ensure all administrative processes are completed accurately and in a timely manner
- Assist in the coordination of school events and communications
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in line with school policies
- Support the Headteacher and other senior staff in day-to-day administrative duties
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Confident use of Microsoft Office and other administrative software
- Experience in a busy administrative or clerical role
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Preferred
- Previous experience in an educational setting
- Understanding of school policies and procedures
- Experience with attendance management systems
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
