The Opportunity:

As a School Administration Assistant, you will provide essential clerical and administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of school administration and attendance processes. This role is vital in maintaining a well-organised and efficient working environment, and plays a key part in supporting the school’s mission to develop the talents of all students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the administration of school operations, including attendance management and record-keeping
  • Provide efficient clerical support to various departments within the school
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions and documentation
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and take initiative in completing tasks independently
  • Ensure all administrative processes are completed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Assist in the coordination of school events and communications
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in line with school policies
  • Support the Headteacher and other senior staff in day-to-day administrative duties

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Confident use of Microsoft Office and other administrative software
  • Experience in a busy administrative or clerical role
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Preferred

  • Previous experience in an educational setting
  • Understanding of school policies and procedures
  • Experience with attendance management systems
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
