The Opportunity:

As a School Business Manager, you will lead the Finance, IT, Premises, and Administration teams, ensuring the school maintains high standards of health and safety. This is a strategic role within the Senior Leadership Team, where you will contribute to the school’s vision and drive its ambitions forward.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead the Finance, IT, Premises, and Administration teams effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards across the school.
  • Support the Senior Leadership Team in achieving the school’s strategic objectives.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the school’s business functions.
  • Develop and implement cost-effective solutions to support the school’s educational goals.
  • Coordinate with external providers and stakeholders to maintain service quality.
  • Monitor and report on financial performance and budget management.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the school.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant School Business Management Qualification or working towards one.
  • Proven leadership experience in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of school operations and financial management.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Experience in managing teams and delivering high standards of service.

Preferred

  • Experience with educational technology and digital systems.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in educational settings.
  • Experience in managing large-scale projects or initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Ofsted standards and school inspection processes.

  • Competitive salary between POD Point 45 (£59,511) and POE Point 52 (£67,575).
