Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Science lessons that inspire and engage students.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to support student learning and achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the quality of Science education across the school.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Participate in the school’s continuous professional development programme.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extra-curricular activities and events.
- Support the school’s commitment to inclusion, diversity, and safeguarding.
- Stay up to date with developments in Science and education practice.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A suitable degree and UK-recognised teaching qualification (e.g., QTS, PGCE) or the ability to obtain this by the start date.
- Proven experience as a Science Teacher with a strong understanding of Science curriculum and pedagogy.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a classroom effectively and create an engaging learning environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
Preferred
- Specialism in Physics.
- Experience with teaching in a diverse and inclusive environment.
- Experience in continuous professional development and leadership in teaching and learning.
- Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
