The Opportunity:

As the Director of Marketing and Communications, you will lead the development and execution of a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy across multiple schools. This role is essential in enhancing the school’s brand, attracting top pupils, and supporting the institution’s charitable and educational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a Foundation-wide marketing, communications, and pupil recruitment strategy aligned with organisational objectives.
  • Maximize the use of traditional, social, and trending communication channels to elevate the school’s brand and differentiate it from competitors.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, including the CFCO, to ensure alignment with strategic goals and initiatives.
  • Manage and lead a team to deliver high-impact marketing campaigns with measurable outcomes.
  • Support the success of charitable endeavours and promote new business initiatives across the Foundation.
  • Ensure consistent and unified brand messaging across all communication platforms and audiences.
  • Oversee the development of content, including writing, editing, and producing materials for internal and external audiences.
  • Strengthen community engagement through strategic communication and public relations efforts.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in leading and delivering marketing and communications strategies at a senior level within a complex, multi-site organisation.
  • Senior-level experience in marketing, communications, or brand management.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage high-performing teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling messages for diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with clear objectives and measurable outcomes.

Preferred

  • Experience in education or the non-profit sector.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing and social media platforms.
  • Experience with pupil recruitment and brand promotion in the independent education sector.
  • Strong understanding of the UK and international education market.
