School Chaplain required to support spiritual and pastoral care in a leading girls’ school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide spiritual and pastoral support to students and staff across all year groups.
  • Deliver assemblies, reflections, and prayer sessions that align with the school’s mission and values.
  • Promote community service and charitable initiatives that reflect the school’s ethos.
  • Encourage students to explore meaning, purpose, and values through engaging and inclusive activities.
  • Build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents as a visible and approachable presence.
  • Collaborate with other staff to support the emotional, spiritual, and personal development of students.
  • Contribute to the development of school policies and programs that promote well-being and inclusion.
  • Represent the school in external events and community activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A strong Christian faith and commitment to pastoral care.
  • Experience in a pastoral or spiritual leadership role within an educational setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents from diverse backgrounds.
  • A relevant qualification in theology, religious studies, or a related field.

Preferred

  • Experience in school chaplaincy or similar roles.
  • Familiarity with the traditions and practices of the Christian faith.
  • Experience in organizing and leading assemblies, reflections, and community events.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
