Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the strategic direction of the PE department, ensuring alignment with the school’s vision and improvement priorities.
• Develop and implement departmental policies and practices to ensure high standards of teaching and student achievement.
• Analyze attainment data to identify trends and implement targeted interventions to support all learners.
• Oversee the planning and delivery of inclusive and progressive PE schemes of work across all key stages.
• Promote a broad and inclusive extracurricular sports programme that supports participation and leadership.
• Lead and manage the PE team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
• Ensure the safe and effective use of sports facilities and equipment.
• Support the school’s wellbeing agenda and promote active lifestyles across the school community.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• A Bachelor’s Degree in a related subject with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a similar role.
• Mandatory experience working in an international school.

Preferred

• Experience working with students for whom English is not their first language (EAL).
• Recent and consistent involvement in extra-curricular activities.
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with parents in a diverse multi-cultural environment.
