The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate Science Teacher to join a highly successful and motivated department. This is an excellent opportunity to teach Science at Key Stage 3 and Physics at Key Stage 4 or 5. Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Science at Key Stage 3 and Physics at Key Stage 4 or 5.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of a challenging and engaging science curriculum.
- Support students in achieving academic excellence and preparing for future studies, including university and careers in science-related fields.
- Collaborate with colleagues to innovate and enhance teaching practices.
- Participate in co-curricular activities and contribute to the wider life of the school.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
- Engage with parents and the wider school community to promote science education and student success.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Science education.
- Ability to teach Science at Key Stage 3 and Physics at Key Stage 4 or 5.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working in a school environment, ideally in a selective or high-achieving setting.
Preferred
- Experience with teaching in a coeducational setting.
- Experience with Sixth Form teaching or leadership.
- Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and curriculum development.
- Experience with extracurricular activities or leadership roles within a school.
