The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Science lessons to Key Stage 3, 4, and 5 students.
  • Develop and implement engaging and innovative teaching strategies that improve student outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support a cohesive and effective Science curriculum.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support where needed.
  • Participate in staff development and professional learning opportunities.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and enrichment programs related to Science.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.
  • Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge and experience in Science education.
  • Proven ability to teach Science to Key Stage 5 or readiness to develop into KS5 teaching.
  • Experience in improving student outcomes and achievement.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school setting that values innovation and collaboration.
  • Familiarity with the National Curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Demonstrable leadership or mentoring experience within a school environment.
