The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Science lessons to Key Stage 3, 4, and 5 students.
- Develop and implement engaging and innovative teaching strategies that improve student outcomes.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support a cohesive and effective Science curriculum.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support where needed.
- Participate in staff development and professional learning opportunities.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities and enrichment programs related to Science.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.
- Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge and experience in Science education.
- Proven ability to teach Science to Key Stage 5 or readiness to develop into KS5 teaching.
- Experience in improving student outcomes and achievement.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in a school setting that values innovation and collaboration.
- Familiarity with the National Curriculum and assessment frameworks.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
- Demonstrable leadership or mentoring experience within a school environment.
