Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality music education to students across all year groups.
  • Develop and implement engaging and innovative music curricula.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through individual and group instruction.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the Arts & Technology Faculty to enhance the learning experience.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities, including music ensembles and performances.
  • Monitor and assess student progress effectively.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through events and initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant music education experience.
  • Strong knowledge of music theory and performance.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.

Preferred

  • Experience in a selective or academically focused setting.
  • Experience in teaching a range of musical instruments or vocal techniques.
  • Experience with music technology and digital resources.
  • Leadership or mentoring experience within a school setting.
