The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join our team on a maternity cover basis for the 2026 academic year. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the learning journey of students at KS3 and KS4, while being part of a dynamic and supportive school community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Science to KS3 and KS4 students in a structured and engaging manner.
- Deliver high-quality lessons that inspire curiosity and a love of learning.
- Support students in achieving their full potential through differentiated instruction and formative assessment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
- Monitor and track student progress to ensure consistent academic growth.
- Participate in the school’s extra-curricular activities and community events.
- Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture.
- Provide pastoral care and support to students as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4 levels.
- Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
Preferred
- Early Career Teacher with a passion for education.
- Experience with curriculum development and innovative teaching methods.
- Familiarity with the use of technology in the classroom.
- Experience in delivering extracurricular Science-related activities.
