The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across a range of subjects within the school’s curriculum.
  • Support students with moderate learning difficulties and associated additional needs through individualised and inclusive teaching methods.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and learning resources.
  • Work closely with parents and carers to ensure a consistent and supportive approach to student learning and development.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing feedback and adjusting teaching methods as needed.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities provided by the school and wider TKAT family.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture that celebrates student achievements and fosters a sense of belonging.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in primary education.
  • Experience teaching across a range of subjects within a primary curriculum.
  • Strong understanding of teaching students with moderate learning difficulties and associated additional needs.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and student-centred learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with students who have speech and communication difficulties, autism, or sensory impairments.
  • Experience in developing and delivering individualised learning plans.
  • Background in special educational needs and disability (SEND) provision.
  • Experience in performing arts or expressive arts education.
