The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join our team and inspire students at KS3 and KS4. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact in a progressive and supportive environment, where your passion for Science can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Science to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring engaging and effective learning.
- Create and maintain a stimulating and disciplined classroom environment that encourages student motivation and achievement.
- Monitor and support student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them reach their full potential.
- Contribute to the development of departmental schemes of work, assessments, and teaching resources.
- Participate in departmental meetings, policy development, and parent evenings as required.
- Ensure that all external examination requirements and Teachers’ Standards are met.
- Assist in the production and marking of examination papers when appropriate.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a strong knowledge of Science and its examination specifications.
- Experience teaching Science at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Ability to create a positive and motivating learning environment.
- Commitment to student progress and well-being.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
Preferred
- Experience with curriculum development and resource creation.
- Background in leadership or mentoring programs.
- Experience with CPD or professional development initiatives.
- Familiarity with inclusive education practices.
