The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Science Teacher to join a high-performing department that consistently delivers outstanding results. This role offers the chance to inspire students, contribute to a collaborative team, and further raise academic achievement in Science across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and high-quality Science lessons that promote student achievement and interest in the subject.
- Develop and implement a well-structured curriculum that supports student progress and meets high standards.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and continuously improve teaching and learning.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support to ensure all learners achieve their full potential.
- Encourage a love of Science through practical, interactive, and innovative teaching methods.
- Support the school’s commitment to inclusion and continuous improvement in all aspects of teaching and learning.
- Participate in departmental meetings, planning, and professional development activities.
- Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and student engagement initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Science education.
- Strong track record in delivering high-quality lessons and achieving excellent student outcomes.
- Experience of teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Commitment to inclusive practice and continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience of working within a collaborative and supportive department.
- Knowledge of current Science curriculum and assessment practices.
- Experience with leadership or mentoring roles within a school setting.
- Familiarity with the Northern Education Trust values and approach to education.
