The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join our team and contribute to the academic and personal development of students across Key Stages 3 and 4. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in a forward-thinking and supportive school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Science at KS3 and KS4, ensuring students make strong progress and enjoy their learning.
- Create and maintain a disciplined, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support learning outcomes.
- Contribute to the development of departmental schemes of work and assessments.
- Participate in departmental meetings and support the wider curriculum through collaboration.
- Assist in the production of examination papers and marking when required.
- Ensure compliance with external examination requirements and Teachers’ Standards.
- Maintain accurate records and attend meetings with parents and colleagues as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Science Teacher with relevant experience.
- Sound knowledge of Science curriculum and examination specifications.
- Ability to teach Science at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to student progress and well-being.
Preferred
- Experience in developing and delivering engaging Science lessons.
- Involvement in extracurricular activities or student support programs.
- Experience with CPD and leadership development opportunities.
- Familiarity with innovative teaching resources and technologies.
