The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join our team and contribute to the academic and personal development of students across Key Stages 3 and 4. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in a forward-thinking and supportive school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Science at KS3 and KS4, ensuring students make strong progress and enjoy their learning.
  • Create and maintain a disciplined, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support learning outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development of departmental schemes of work and assessments.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and support the wider curriculum through collaboration.
  • Assist in the production of examination papers and marking when required.
  • Ensure compliance with external examination requirements and Teachers’ Standards.
  • Maintain accurate records and attend meetings with parents and colleagues as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Science Teacher with relevant experience.
  • Sound knowledge of Science curriculum and examination specifications.
  • Ability to teach Science at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to student progress and well-being.

Preferred

  • Experience in developing and delivering engaging Science lessons.
  • Involvement in extracurricular activities or student support programs.
  • Experience with CPD and leadership development opportunities.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching resources and technologies.
