Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Science lessons that engage and challenge students of all abilities.
- Plan and develop innovative and interactive Science curricula that align with national standards.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance teaching methods.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives and contribute to a positive, inclusive school culture.
- Support the development of students’ scientific skills and curiosity through practical and theoretical learning.
- Stay up to date with developments in Science education and integrate new resources and technologies into teaching.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on student performance and attendance.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Science or a related field.
- Full teaching qualification (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience in Science teaching, ideally at a secondary level.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching within an academy or multi-academy trust setting.
- Experience with KS3, KS4, and KS5 Science curricula.
- Familiarity with assessment and marking systems.
- Ability to develop and lead extracurricular Science activities or clubs.
- Experience with using digital tools and resources in Science education.
