Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging Science lessons to Key Stage 5 students.
  • Plan and design effective, curriculum-focused teaching resources and schemes of work.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share best practices in teaching and learning.
  • Support students in preparing for exams and achieving their full potential.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Science education and incorporate innovative teaching methods.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
  • Experience teaching Science at Key Stage 5.
  • Strong knowledge of the Science curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school with a multi-academy trust structure.
  • Demonstrated success in improving student outcomes and attainment.
  • Experience with innovative teaching methods or technology in the classroom.
  • Leadership experience or a willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
