Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain science equipment, resources, and materials for practical lessons
• Ensure a safe and well-organised laboratory and science teaching environment
• Support teachers with the setup and breakdown of experiments and demonstrations
• Monitor and report on the condition of equipment and recommend replacements or repairs
• Assist in the storage and management of chemicals, specimens, and other science materials
• Collaborate with teaching staff to develop and implement practical science activities
• Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and inventory
• Promote health and safety standards in science classrooms and laboratories

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Experience in a science laboratory or technical support role
• Knowledge of science equipment and laboratory safety procedures
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills

Preferred

• Previous experience in an educational setting
• Understanding of special educational needs and inclusive teaching practices
• Experience with GCSE science curriculum and practical teaching methods
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations in schools
