A school is seeking a passionate and experienced Secondary Art Teacher to provide maternity cover from September 2026 to April 2027. This role offers the chance to inspire creativity and critical thinking in students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, including IB Visual Arts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Art across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, including examination and portfolio-based courses.
• Deliver high-quality lessons that foster creativity, visual literacy, and critical thinking.
• Support students in developing strong portfolios for IB Visual Arts.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and extracurricular creative opportunities.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Teaching qualification (e.g., QTS) and TRN or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Art at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
• Strong subject knowledge and ability to motivate students of all abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.

Preferred

• Experience with IB Visual Arts.
• Proven ability to develop student portfolios.
• Experience in international or diverse educational settings.
• Strong understanding of assessment and curriculum development.
