Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver high-quality Computer Science lessons aligned with IBDP, IGCSE, and GCSE curricula.
- Design and implement engaging and challenging KS3 Computer Science programmes.
- Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development of the school’s overall curriculum.
- Support students in achieving academic excellence and developing essential digital skills.
- Participate actively in the wider school community and contribute to extracurricular activities.
- Provide pastoral care and guidance to students as part of a supportive learning environment.
- Stay up to date with advancements in Computer Science education and integrate new technologies into teaching.
- Mentor and support junior teachers where applicable.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A minimum of four years’ recognised teaching qualification, including a Bachelor’s Degree and Teaching Diploma or a Bachelor of Education.
- At least three years of full-time teaching experience in a recognised educational institution.
- Proven experience teaching IBDP Computer Science.
- Experience teaching IGCSE or GCSE Computer Science.
- Demonstrated ability in curriculum design for KS3.
Preferred
- Experience with curriculum development and innovation in Computer Science education.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a collaborative school culture.
- Interest in leadership and school-wide initiatives.
