The Opportunity:
As a Secondary Computer Science Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of students through innovative and engaging instruction. You will help deliver a rigorous curriculum that prepares students for the challenges of a rapidly evolving technological world.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Computer Science lessons aligned with the National Curriculum of England and international qualifications.
- Develop and implement engaging, student-centered teaching strategies that promote critical thinking and problem-solving.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities and school events that enhance student learning and development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support a culture of continuous professional development.
- Stay up to date with advancements in Computer Science education and integrate new technologies into the classroom.
- Support students in developing both academic and personal skills through pastoral care and mentorship.
- Participate in the planning and delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum that includes IB, IGCSE, and AS/A Level qualifications.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A recognised educational degree, such as a Bachelor's in Education or an equivalent qualification.
- A certified teaching qualification such as a PGCE or QTS with an Early Career Teaching Certificate.
- Extensive experience teaching the National Curriculum of England and international qualifications such as IB, IGCSE, and AS/A Level.
- Strong subject knowledge in Computer Science with a proven track record of delivering outstanding teaching and learning.
- Commitment to contributing to the wider school community through extracurricular activities.
Preferred
- Experience working in an international school environment.
- Familiarity with evidence-based teaching practices and technology integration.
- Experience with teaching in a diverse, multicultural setting.
