Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership within the Secondary Leadership team and across the whole school.
  • Lead key strategic areas such as pastoral or academic development based on individual strengths.
  • Monitor and improve the quality of teaching and learning through coaching, observation, and professional dialogue.
  • Analyze data to support planning, intervention, and whole-school improvement.
  • Support the development of middle leaders and teachers through high-quality professional learning.
  • Ensure effective care, progression, and challenge for students across all year groups.
  • Assist with safeguarding responsibilities as a Deputy Safeguarding Lead.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in leading academic or pastoral teams.
  • Ability to inspire and lead staff effectively.
  • Experience in contributing to or leading school development initiatives.
  • Familiarity with the English National Curriculum and Cambridge IGCSE and A Level qualifications.
  • Strong understanding of personalised learning, feedback, and assessment.
  • Commitment to student development and extracurricular engagement.
  • Recognised teaching qualifications.
  • Passion for education and a team-focused mindset.

Preferred

  • Experience with the House system and event organisation.
  • Experience in safeguarding roles.
  • Ongoing commitment to personal and professional development.
